Deborah was born in Elmira, NY. She trained at the Hartt School of Music in
Hartford, CT where she attained a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater and
Voice. Soon after moving to New York City to pursue a career on the stage
Deborah was invited to tour Europe with a production company singing the role of
Michaela in a rock version of Bizet's Carmen.
She quickly fell in love with Europe and decided to stay. In Germany, she
enjoyed playing Christine in Phantom of the Opera at The Neue Flora
Theater in Hamburg. She went on the create the role of Cosette in the original
German cast of Les Misérables. Following her success in Germany she was
asked to recreate the role of Cosette in the original Flemish production of
Les Misérables in Antwerp, Belgium. Deborah has recorded both original cast
albums in Flemish and German.
Deborah was invited by Cameron Mackintosh to the UK to play Christine in his
touring version of The Phantom of The Opera and then invited to make her
West End debut as Christine at Her Majesty's Theater, London.
Longing for home and family, Deborah then chose to return to her roots in
America. She has briefly taken time off to work on on the most important project
of her life, her beautiful son, Donovan. Becoming a mother has been the most
challenging and rewarding experience in her life.
Currently, Deborah can be heard as the voice of Carley, the Crab in the
Huggies Cleanteam ad campaign. She is excited to announce the launch of her
first single on iTunes, an electronic-pop rendition of O Mio Babbino Caro,
the famous soprano aria from Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.
